Not too far from the International Airport, amidst a surreal plantation estate, sits a lodge surrounded by coconut trees and a variety of spice plants to give you a promising first impression of Sri Lanka. Spend some quality family time by the pool or if you feel active, ask your host to take you around the local village in Tuk Tuks – the most convenient and common way that the Sri Lankan locals use to get around.

Take the road to the Cultural Triangle where you will spend the next couple of days exploring some of the highlights and a few of our recommended off the beaten track experiences. Arrive and check in at your hotel.
Later in the afternoon, visit the Ritigala Archaeological Monastery, take time to explore the meditation pathways, thick forest patches and immerse in nature.

Make an early start to visit the magnificent Sigiriya Rock Fortress.
In the afternoon, set off to the ancient city of Polonnaruwa. Your visit to the Cultural Triangle is not complete unless you indulge in a feast of Sri Lankan local curries with rice – enjoy a delicious local lunch at Polonnaruwa, Curry On!
To get all that curry to digest, explore the second ancient capital, Polonnaruwa!

Today we peddle the backroads of Habarana! The ride will take you through a rural village, exploring various cottage industries, engaging with the local community, and make sure you stop and immerse in the breathtaking sceneries of the village.
Later in the afternoon, we will embark on a game drive in search of the Jumbos! Visit one of the National Parks at the Cultural Triangle on a safari to see herds of elephants.

Bid farewell to the cultural triangle and proceed to Kandy – a charming city that still retains the colonial touches.
Later this afternoon, explore the local markets of Kandy and explore some of the highlights such as the Kandy Temple of the Tooth Relic.

This morning, we head to a local home in Kandy to engage in a hands-on cooking experience with a local family. Have an engaging culinary experience with the local family while you learn how to mix the local spices to make the perfect mix of Sri Lankan curries.

Today, we take the drive to Nuwara Eliya and hop into the train from Nanu Oya Railway station to the hills – enjoy the most scenic and captivating route of the train journey with awestrucking scenery of the misty hills.

Get your hiking shoes ready and take on the winding trails of the tea estates. The hill country has many trails to offer depending on your preferred terrain and endurance levels, take it easy and enjoy the spectacular views while you are at it!
Complete your visit to the hill country with a Tea experience, learn the art of tea making.

After breakfast, drive on the expressway towards Galle – you will be based inside the vibrant Galle Dutch Fort.
Later in the afternoon, meet an interesting personality to take you around the Galle Dutch Fort sharing some interesting stories, the past and the present of the Galle Fort and a treasure hunt for the kids!
