Gonzalo is an avid explorer of the unique and the unknown; he also has a knack, a six sense, for finding the special aspects of a seemingly mundane place or activity. Gonzalo was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina and has lived in a dozen places around the world. Some of his favorite locations include Turkey, Thailand, Ukraine, Sri Lanka, and Peru. He has visited over 80 countries and is aiming to reach a hundred before he turns 50.
His most recent and daring adventure was traveling solo the whole length of the Amazon river on cargo boats while sleeping on the deck in his hammock.
Coming from the vibrant coastal town of Moratuwa, famous for its music and drinking culture, Rashan has done his fair share of exploring Sri Lanka’s known and lesser known. His love for the mountains and nature has made him an avid hiker and cyclist, often venturing off the beaten path to explore hidden gems, eagerly discovering new destinations through outdoor adventures.
In addition to his adventurous spirit, Rashan is a fantastic local host in Colombo, where he runs food and arrack tours that offer a deep dive into Sri Lankan cuisine and its signature local spirit. Whether guiding guests through Colombo’s bustling streets, introducing them to authentic Sri Lankan dishes, or taking them on a tasting journey of local arrack, Rashan creates memorable and personalized travel experiences, offering travelers a genuine and enriching connection to the heart of Sri Lanka.

Shash was born and raised in the beautiful tropics of Sri Lanka. Her earliest and most fond travel memories are of hiking the mountain trails of the Sri Lankan tea plantations and camping in the wilderness of Sri Lanka’s National Park with her parents. Thereon, from a young age, her passion for travel was deeply rooted, and years later, she continued her journeys boundlessly exploring Sri Lanka while taking up the profession of designing inspirational travel holidays for like-minded explorers.
With over 12 years of experience in Sri Lanka’s travel industry, Shash has had the rewarding opportunity to explore various facets of how the industry delivers travel experiences, ranging from traditional to more authentic methods. Her extensive exposure to working with significant travel brands, her boundless explorations around Sri Lanka, and her passion for creating lasting experiences for curious travelers led her to sow the seeds for Far Out.
